✨ In June 2025, I had the opportunity to attend the European Women in Tech conference in Amsterdam – one of the largest events in Europe dedicated to empowering women in technology and fostering inclusive innovation.✨

I received the CIT Travel Award from the Technical University of Munich, which was awarded to a small group of students in recognition of our commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in computer science. My involvement in organizing events and mentoring programs at TUM was part of this engagement.
The conference was full of inspiring sessions, thoughtful conversations, and insights that continue to resonate:
🧩 Bias in Data: Several talks explored how datasets reflect and amplify real-world inequalities – and why diverse teams are essential to building fair technologies.
🦾 AI in Job Applications: Multiple sessions revealed how ATS systems filter CVs, and how format, keywords, and layout affect visibility.
📱 Digital Attention: Monika Matuszewska’s keynote on attention and burnout was a powerful reminder of how tech affects our focus and energy.

Beyond the sessions, we had the chance to connect with companies like Zscaler, Kraken, and Amazon – from cloud to crypto to career paths, every booth offered something different.

After the conference, we spent time exploring Amsterdam and the beach. Biking through the city, watching the sunset, and reflecting on everything we’d experienced made the entire trip unforgettable. 🚲💐🌊

Events like this are not just about knowledge – they’re about perspective, community, and motivation. I left Amsterdam with new ideas, fresh energy, and deep appreciation for the people moving tech forward in meaningful ways. 👩💻
